Yes, I will also wait until the Chameleon is more mature before buying one. Until then I ordered another IDE64 v4.1 today instead!

Why didn't they release any new firmwares for this device? The last one is 0.55, and in the release text they state quite many todo's and that they will be addressed in the next coming versions... The device is great, and even though Chameleon is out it doesn't render the MMC Replay useless. Just a thought.. |

For that reason is why I didn't buy a Chameleon. I thought the MMC Replay was fantastic. However, support went by the way side when a new device was going to be introduced. Besides the .55 (I am still running .54). There was a beta that was out. I had it once but lost it. I also wish they did not stop production of the RR-Net add-on card. I do realize they have a new one coming out. But the old one was fine. |

I just hope Jens will go Open Source on the Chameleon, just as Gideon did on the 1541u. That's the only way to provide long term support for this kind of projects IMHO. |

Is the code for the MMC Replay closed aswell? Perhaps I'm the only one who cares about this cartridge nowdays?

Hey Sledge Your not the only one interested in a more updates for the MMC Replay many were sold there a great device. I never considered the Chameleon as an upgrade on the MMC Replay to me it's a new device filling it's own niche in the market, but that's how it's been touted. The MMC Replay could be sold along side the chameleon, Easy flash compatibility would be a nice addition to the MMC Replay for starters. Shane. |
